Invisible Fence® Compatible

Keep your Invisible Fence® system. Upgrade everything else.

If you already have an Invisible Fence® brand system in the ground, you do not need a new fence. Your transmitter and wire are probably fine. The collar is where the frustration lives, and Pet Stop receivers work with the system you already own.

We have worked on Invisible Fence® brand systems in Birmingham yards for over 30 years. Not affiliated with Invisible Fence Brand.

Your transmitter is doing its job

The buried wire and the wall transmitter are the durable half of any dog fence, including an Invisible Fence® brand system. What wears out, runs through batteries, and limits what you can adjust is the receiver on the dog's neck. Pet Stop builds receivers that read the signal your existing transmitter is already putting out. We are not here to sell you a new fence. We are here to make the one you have work better.

Three people land on this page

If any of these is you, the answer is usually a receiver, not a re-install.

The battery bill

Tired of proprietary batteries

Your system works, but the collar batteries only come from one place, on their schedule, at their price. Pet Stop receivers run on standard replaceable batteries or recharge on a cradle, so that recurring cost either shrinks or disappears.

The new house

Bought a home with a system in the yard

There is a wire around the property and a box in the garage, and nobody left you a collar. Happens every week around Birmingham. We test the system, tell you what you have, and set you up with a receiver that works with it. Your dog inherits a fence for a fraction of a new install.

The escape artist

The dog stopped respecting it

Often that is not the fence failing. It is a correction range too narrow for that particular dog. Pet Stop receivers run an unusually wide range, and we set the level to your dog in person, in your yard, not to a factory default.

Pet Stop receivers that work with Invisible Fence® transmitters

All of these work with 700 series Invisible Fence® transmitters. The Link receiver also works with 800 series. If your transmitter runs Boundary Plus® or SSP mode, the ProCollar Connect is built for exactly that. Not sure which transmitter you have? Text us a photo of the wall box and we can usually tell you in minutes.

ProCollar Connect: built for the systems nothing else fits

If your transmitter runs Boundary Plus® or SSP mode, most aftermarket receivers cannot read it. The ProCollar Connect is a Pet Stop receiver engineered to work with any Invisible Fence® transmitter regardless of frequency or modulation. It includes its own programmer and connects to an app, so you can adjust correction levels yourself instead of living with factory settings.

We confirm compatibility with your specific setup before recommending it. That is a five-minute phone call, not a service visit.

Your three options, honestly

When an Invisible Fence® collar dies or a dog starts testing the line, there are three real paths. Here is what each one actually gets you.

What matters to you Replace the collar through your IF® dealer Pet Stop receiver on your existing system Rip out and install a new system
Keeps your existing wire and transmitter Yes Yes Starts over
Battery situation afterward Proprietary batteries continue Standard or rechargeable Standard or rechargeable
Correction range and in-person tuning Varies, ask your dealer Wide range, set to your dog Wide range, set to your dog
Relative cost A collar A collar A whole system
When it is the right call You are happy with the collar you had System is sound, collar is the problem Wire or transmitter is genuinely failing
Green = the better outcome for that row Amber = depends on your situation

If your wire or transmitter really is failing, we will tell you that too, and quote a repair or a new system, whichever is cheaper for what you need. Most of the time it is not that.

We also service Invisible Fence® brand systems

Wire breaks, dead transmitters, boundary adjustments, systems that came with the house and nobody knows if they work: we handle all of it, on Invisible Fence® brand equipment and most other brands. You do not have to switch anything to get service from us.

We have been installing and servicing dog fences around Birmingham since 1994, and we have been working on other brands' systems the whole time. If you want to keep everything you have and just get it running, that is a normal Tuesday for us.

Questions Invisible Fence® owners ask us

Straight answers to what people ask before they call.

Will a Pet Stop collar really work with my Invisible Fence® system?
In most cases, yes. Pet Stop receivers are built to read the signal from 700 series Invisible Fence® transmitters, and the Link receiver also works with 800 series. If your system runs Boundary Plus® or SSP mode, the ProCollar Connect is engineered to work with any Invisible Fence® transmitter regardless of frequency or modulation. We confirm compatibility with your specific setup before you buy anything.
How do I find out which Invisible Fence® transmitter I have?
The fastest way is to text a photo of the wall-mounted transmitter box, usually in the garage or a closet, to (205) 564-5788. We can usually identify it and tell you which receivers will work within a few minutes.
Do I have to replace the buried wire?
No. The wire in the ground carries a signal, and it does not care whose collar is reading it. If the wire is intact, it stays right where it is.
I bought a house with an Invisible Fence® system in the yard. Can you get it running?
Yes, and this is one of the most common calls we get. We test the transmitter and the loop, tell you what condition the system is in, and set you up with a receiver and training for your dog. It is usually a fraction of the cost of a new installation.
Can you repair my Invisible Fence® system, like a wire break?
Yes. We locate and repair wire breaks, replace failed transmitters, and adjust boundaries on Invisible Fence® brand systems and most other brands. You do not need to switch to Pet Stop equipment to get service from us.
Will my dog need to be retrained on the new collar?
Usually just a refresher, not a full training program. The boundary has not moved, and your dog already knows it. We fit the receiver, set the correction level to your dog in person, and walk the yard to make sure the response is right.
